The **Junior Technician role** is an excellent opportunity for recent Electrical Engineering graduates or similarly qualified applicants to build a career in Clinical Engineering while contributing to the delivery of safe, high-quality healthcare services. The role is primarily based at Auckland City Hospital, with occasional travel to other local sites.**Key responsibilities include:*** Undertake training while assisting with the maintenance, repair, and testing of medical equipment* Perform quality assurance, performance testing, and acceptance testing of low-risk medical devices* Maintain accurate equipment and compliance records within asset management systems* Provide technical support and guidance to clinical staff to ensure the safe use of medical equipment* Contribute to equipment reliability, continuous improvement initiatives, and effective service delivery across clinical services and hospital sites**About the Team/Service**The Procurement, Supply Chain and Health Technology (PSC&HTM) team at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora are a national function with a vast and complex scope. They play a critical role in ensuring the availability, safety, and efficiency of clinical and non-clinical goods and services across the health system. Responsible for managing and influencing over $9 billion in annual spend, the team are central to delivering high-quality patient outcomes and standardising product usage across regions.**About you**You are an early-career engineer or technically minded professional looking to build a career in Clinical Engineering.
