The Role We are looking for an experienced and capable Foreman to lead the physical delivery, set up and pack down of events right across New Zealand starting on the 28th of September 2026. This is a full time, permanent position. The role operates across our busy summer season from early October through to late April, with 8 weeks of paid leave during the off season. It is a genuinely rewarding setup for the right person, offering variety, travel and a real sense of ownership over what you deliver. This is not a desk job. You will be on the tools every day during the season, erecting large scale marquee structures, laying flooring, rigging lighting, moving furniture and managing a crew to get it all done to an exceptionally high standard. You will need to be physically fit, practically minded and comfortable leading others on site. Key Responsibilities Lead the set up and pack down of events nationwide, including erecting and dismantling Sperry Tents and other marquee structures, flooring, lighting rigs and furniture Manage staff and contractors on site, ensuring the crew works efficiently, safely and to Flagship's exacting standards Liaise with the on site coordinator prior to each event to walk through set up requirements and logistics Enforce health and safety protocols on site at all times Oversee the delivery and collection of hire equipment, including loading and unloading trucks and trailers Ensure all equipment is clean, well maintained and event ready before every job Carry out ongoing servicing and maintenance of hire inventory throughout the season, including varnishing flooring, re oiling and repairing tables and chairs, repainting bars, wiring lighting and general repairs Assist with building new inventory items as we continue to grow and expand our product range. Basic carpentry or building skills are a real advantage here Maintain the shed and storage facilities to a clean, organised and health and safety compliant standard Carry out vehicle, truck and trailer checks and servicing Conduct site visits ahead of events as required Be available on call during events to assist if issues arise What We're Looking For We want someone who has come up through the tools. Whether that is a trade background, construction, landscaping, farming, rigging or any other physically demanding industry, if you know how to work hard, manage people and take pride in what you build, we want to hear from you. Physically fit and comfortable with sustained heavy manual work Experienced in leading or supervising a small crew on site Practical and resourceful, able to problem solve on the fly and keep a job moving Reliable and accountable. Our clients trust us to deliver and we need people who take that seriously Well presented and personable. You will be on client sites representing the Flagship brand A strong communicator with both your crew and our management team Detail oriented. The difference between a good event and a great one is in the finishing Comfortable working independently and making sound decisions under pressure Requirements A full, clean driver's licence. The ability to drive trucks and tow heavy trailers is essential. A Class 2 licence is required and we will put the right candidate through their licence if needed Willingness to travel nationwide and spend nights away from home when required Flexibility to work weekends and irregular hours during the season.
