Deliver impactful water utility and plant projects that protect public health and the environment. Project Management role with an organisation with massive growth opportunities. Petone office based. This is a full‑time position for 40 hours per week. Appointment remuneration will depend on experience and exposure. About the Role Starting as a Project Manager within the Treatment and Control Systems team, you’ll deliver minor capital work projects across Tiaki Wai’s treatment plants and act as the key operational interface for medium‑to‑high complexity projects. You’ll ensure projects are delivered safely on time and in alignment with our commitment to safe, reliable, and sustainable water services. Key Responsibilities Work closely with operators, vendors and stakeholders to ensure operational impacts are minimised and site commissioning tasks are undertaken Manage, assess and schedule activities to ensure projects run within feasible timelines Manage project scope, budget, schedule, and risks to achieve operational excellence Support engineering and design solutions from concept to handover Manage documentation and handover requirements including ongoing assessment and maintenance Promote safe work practices and environmental protection in all project activities Support overall work programme planning, procurement activities and vendor relationship management Qualifications A relevant engineering qualification such as a diploma with a current NZ drivers licence Previous experience managing project with a good understanding of project management principles An understanding of water and wastewater treatment processes or extensive experience working within a similar setting Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills Good vendor management and relationship experience Benefits Flexible working arrangements including up to 2 days working from home Comprehensive wellbeing programme, including one paid wellbeing day annually Formal and informal professional development opportunities 5 weeks annual leave accrual will be available following 2 years of continual service Applications close: Tuesday 14th July 2026 Applicants for safety sensitive roles will be required to undergo drug and alcohol testing prior to commencing employment with Tiaki Wai.
