Your role will include outpatient clinics, ward rounds, and operating theatre sessions, along with providing timely specialist opinions and ensuring continuity of care for patients under your clinical responsibility.This role will be based at Whangarei Hospital (including Kensington Hospital), and regional sites across Te Tai Tokerau.This is an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a regional setting, delivering both elective and acute care while working closely with multidisciplinary teams. Youll also play a key role in teaching and mentoring Registrars, House Officers, and other healthcare professionals, contributing to the development of future clinicians while maintaining high standards of care.Click here to view the position description.**About the Team & Location**You will be part of a collaborative surgical team, working alongside General Surgeons, SMOs, Skin Clinical Nurse Specialists, nursing staff, and allied health professionals committed to delivering high-quality patient outcomes across the region.As well as a warm climate, the "winterless north" offers excellent schools; affordable housing and scenic coastal areas offering a range of recreational activities. For more information on living and working in Northland click here**About you**To be considered you must have or be eligible for specialist (or locum tenens) vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery.
