About the Role We’re looking for a motivated Business Development Executive (BDE) to join our Corporate division , helping New Zealand businesses manage their foreign exchange and international payments. This is an ideal entry point for high-performing , earlier stage sales professionals looking to break into the financial services industry. Reporting to the NZ Sales Director, the Business Development Executive identifies new business opportunities for Xe corporate from prospective customers. Your mission is to build and continually enhance a successful pipeline of qualified opportunities that feeds into ongoing new business generation. As a BDE, you’ll receive training, ongoing mentorship, and a clear development pathway designed to build your confidence and expertise. Using a suite of platforms to effectively manage pipeline growth and outbound channels, you are well equipped to target new potential clients. In This Role, You Will Identify new business opportunities through outbound calling, email, LinkedIn, events and referrals. Build and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified corporate prospects, with clear next steps and forecasting in our CRM. Run structured discovery conversations to understand clients’ FX exposure, payment flows and risk management needs. Collaborate with Corporate Dealers, Credit and Compliance to structure solutions and move prospects from first trade to ongoing relationship. Achieve agreed monthly targets across applications, first-time trades and new business revenue. Represent Xe at industry events, webinars and partner activities as required. Contribute to sales initiatives and projects as the company reasonably requires. Aim to progress and evolve your sales skills, achieve and outperform your sales targets, with the potential to develop your career within the Business Development career pathway. In New Zealand and across APAC, our Corporate team partners with SMEs and mid-market businesses across sectors such as travel, import/export, manufacturing and professional services. What You Bring 2+ years of experience in outbound sales, business development, or a customer-facing role. Some understanding or interest in the global markets, interest rates and their impacts on the FX market. Ability to utilise technology to broaden the reach of lead generation activities and identifying buyers’ intent through the conversion funnel. A hunter's mindset-proactive, persistent, and energised by creating new opportunities. Strong communication skills with the ability to actively listen, adapt, and articulate value. Self-motivated, and eager to grow your career in sales. Effective time management and organisational skills. Team-oriented with a positive, collaborative attitude. Comfortable prospecting and running discovery calls with business owners, CFOs and senior finance leaders. Experience using a CRM and sales engagement tools to manage activity, pipeline and reporting. Resilient and comfortable working in a target-driven, high-activity environment. Why join us?
