Facilities and Services Technician (Fixed Term to December 2026)

Job Description Our Facilities Team ensures our workplace environment is set up to help our crew achieve what they need. We are looking for a Facilities and Services Technician to join on a fixed‑term contract through to mid‑December, assisting the team to maintain Weta Workshop facilities to a very high standard. Day‑to‑day responsibilities: Servicing and maintenance, including troubleshooting and minor repairs Helping relocate furniture and items in storage Facilitating external providers and contractors Decorating rooms Managing supplies Managing time and jobs through our ticketing system We’re looking for a proactive, confident communicator comfortable with in‑person and email communication, and who can use our ticketing system (training provided). The role requires physical fitness and resilience, a wide range of practical skills and a willingness to dive in. Experience in metal fabrication, engineering, carpentry, etc. is a plus. A valid driver’s license is required; forklift certification is a bonus. Training in Working at Heights and experience with scissor lifts is a nice‑to‑have. Schedule: Monday to Friday, with flexibility for occasional weekend work (time in lieu). Start date: ASAP.
