The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC) is a part of the Government Communications Security Bureau (GCSB) | Te Tira Tiaki, providing cyber security services to all New Zealanders. The role The Enterprise Information Security Group (EISG) is a part of the NCSC and is responsible for delivering information security strategy, programme and services to the GCSCB and NZSIS. EISG is seeking to fill one of its core leadership positions: Manager Enterprise Information Security (EIS) Delivery, who leads the information security assurance, compliance and risk partnership functions for the GSCB and NZSIS (the enterprise). This role manages an awesome team of subject matter experts, with a focus on business outcomes and risk reduction. As an expert in cyber security and leader that is visible across the GCSB and NZSIS, the Manager EIS Delivery has a central role in setting information security culture, and ensuring continuous improvement in cyber resilience is embedded into workflows and initiatives. We have a fascinating and fantastic mission, and entirely unique information assets. The EISG protects those assets and directly supports mission outcomes, while securing technology from both internal and external threats. Key areas of responsibility People leadership and talent management Information Security Strategy and Programme Delivery Information Security Assurance, Compliance and Risk Management System leadership and stewardship of Information Security Information Security Continuous Improvement Who we're looking for We're looking for someone who: Has a proven talent for people leadership, with an ability to develop and foster high-performing teams of cyber security professionals Is experienced and adept at managing and reporting on financial matters, including demonstrating return on investment in cyber security Enjoys tackling complex problems collaboratively, with a focus on identifying and implementing elegant solutions Is authentic and values driven, with the ability to foster good stakeholder relationships through consultation and partnership You will be accountable for: Leading a small but mighty team of cyber security professionals, fostering a positive culture and high degree of engagement Ensuring that the information security assurance and compliance activities for the Enterprise are delivered to a high standard Lead the continuous improvement of the information security assurance function to meet the NZISM and international best cyber security practice. Engaging with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring information security risks are understood and managed.
