Job Description
Overview Full‑time, fixed‑term position until June 2027 within Health New Zealand | TeWhatuOra Counties Manukau. The role is a physiotherapist specializing in neurological rehabilitation, split between the adult inpatient rehabilitation ward (Ward23) and the AT&R outpatient service. Responsibilities Provide specialist inpatient rehabilitation for patients under and over 65years following stroke, neurological conditions, amputation, and general conditions as part of an inter‑professional team. Deliver outpatient rehabilitation for patients benefiting from a clinic‑based model, including vestibular and amputee rehabilitation and long‑term neurological conditions. Supervise and develop rotational staff, rehab assistants, and physiotherapy students. Participate in leadership, service development projects, staff education, and quality improvement work. Receive professional support from a section head and senior physiotherapists. Qualifications Registration with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board and current APC. Minimum two years clinical experience. Previous experience working in a rehabilitation team. Full driver’s licence. Post‑graduate qualification (preferred). Experience supervising less experienced physiotherapists. Experience working with physiotherapy students.
