Registered Nurse – Hāpaitia Team Uplifting wellbeing, a strengths‑based approach focusing on compassionate care and positive outcomes for patients on the Hāpaitia (behaviours of concern) pathway. Permanent great nursing opportunity. About the role As a Registered Nurse within the Hāpaitia roopu of the Hospital Operations Directorate, you will be part of a dynamic, enthusiastic, positive and passionate multi‑disciplinary team. You will provide nursing advice, care and expertise, both in direct patient care and in support of other staff caring for patients on the Hāpaitia pathway. Enhancing mana, support and safety for all patients and staff around the Hāpaitia pathway. Patients with behaviours of concern are assessed as having a range of behaviours which may include: risk of suicide/self‑harm, pulling out of medical lines/tubes, impulsivity, using verbal or physical abuse or threatening others, mild agitation and wandering, etc. Qualifications Be an experienced adult registered nurse with 5 years experience and either have or be eligible for registration with the NZ Nursing Council. Have a proficient or expert‑level Professional Development Recognition Programme (PDRP) portfolio or equivalent. Have excellent communication and problem‑solving skills with the ability to work in a bi‑cultural environment. Have a commitment to achieving equitable outcomes for Māori and other communities identified by the NZ Health Strategy.
