Job Description As a Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant at Summerset, you will be a key part of creating a clean, uplifting and homelike environment for residents, their whānau, and fellow team members. You will be a quiet hero behind the scenes – keeping our village fresh, homely and dignified for those who live here. We’re looking for a hardworking, caring Housekeeper/Laundry Assistant to join our warm and welcoming Cambridge village team. This role is all about making sure our residents feel comfortable, safe and truly at home. Your Day‑to‑Day Activities Ensuring high‑quality cleaning across resident rooms, bathrooms, communal areas, laundry and kitchen facilities Laundering, folding and returning residents’ clothing and linens with care Labelling, mending and maintaining residents’ personal laundry items Supporting infection control measures and health and safety procedures Building friendly, respectful relationships with residents and understanding their unique needs Qualifications Experience in housekeeping, ideally in healthcare or hospitality Take pride in your work and care about the small details Physically fit and comfortable working on your feet Have a genuine interest in aged care (full training provided, no experience necessary) Benefits Weekend additional paid hourly rates apply A supportive team culture where you’re truly valued Career development opportunities across aged care, hospitality, wellness and more At Summerset, we believe diversity strengthens our team and enriches the care we provide.
