About the Company Salt has partnered with a major infrastructure organisation responsible for delivering essential services to hundreds of thousands of Aucklanders. They manage critical networks, support community resilience, and play a key role in keeping the region connected and running smoothly. About the Role Based in Newmarket, starting February 2nd 2026. 3‑month temporary assignment with potential to extend long‑term. Compensation: $40-$50+ per hour + 8% holiday pay (depending on experience). This dual‑function role supports the GM of Risk and Resilience to ensure key targets are met across emergency management and risk, strengthening systems and processes driving organisational‑wide emergency preparedness. Responsibilities Manage processes following emergency events and follow up with teams to gather information. Help shape improved procedures for future responses. Coordinate across all functional areas to ensure end‑to‑end readiness for major events. Monitor readiness indicators and enable stakeholders to deliver on agreed actions. Answer to the GM of Risk and Resilience, anticipating needs and enabling success across board meetings and wider priorities. Attend meetings with the GM and team members to take notes, align deliverables, understand context, record actions, and ensure outcomes are coordinated. Day‑to‑Day Tasks Coordinate workflows with a range of stakeholders. Navigate complex, cross‑business response processes with many moving parts. Ensure post‑emergency learnings are captured and acted on. Act as key support for the GM, anticipating needs and enabling success across board meetings and wider priorities. Attend meetings with the GM and team members to take notes, align deliverables, understand context, record actions, and ensure outcomes are coordinated. About You You are a self‑starter who thrives under pressure and builds strong relationships across the business. You have a proactive mindset, are extremely organised and tech‑savvy, and can solve problems quickly. Qualifications & Skills Expertise in coordinating workflows and driving improvement programmes across multiple teams. Experience in a large organisation or a highly regulated environment working with governing bodies. Strong relationship‑building skills and the ability to promote action while remaining respectful. Exposure to risk management, emergency management, or resilience practices (beneficial but not essential). Benefits Excellent exposure to a large organisation making a real difference.
