Competitive salary and 5 weeks' annual leave. Te mahi / The Role This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated Software Engineer to join our Enterprise Integration and Automation team in Dunedin. We're looking for someone with a strong foundation in computer or information science, a passion for software development, and a desire to learn and grow. In this role, you will: Contribute across the full software development lifecycle. Develop integrations in a diverse hybrid technology environment. Modernise existing integrations using contemporary design patterns. Collaborate with technical teams to resolve issues and improve solutions. Experience working in Agile environments. Passion for learning and developing effective solutions. You’ll gain broad experience across a complex and diverse technology landscape supporting a wide range of integrated systems. We're seeking a capable software engineer with strong technical skills and a collaborative approach. Key requirements include: Experience with Jitterbit or a similar integration platform (iPaaS). Knowledge of integration design principles and best practice. Experience with Java, SQL, Python, C# or similar technologies. Relevant qualification or equivalent practical experience. Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to produce clear technical documentation. Passion for learning and developing effective solutions. While not essential, the following is desirable Experience with Quarkus, OpenShift, or container platforms. Exposure to event‑driven architectures, streaming platforms, or IoT. Experience working in large or complex technology environments. This is a full‑time (37.5 hours per week) two‑year fixed term position based in Ōtepoti, Dunedin. The appointment range for this role is Digital Specialist Band C - $85,057 to $92,174, Top of Range $97,508.
