Administration Team Lead Lake Integrated Community Health Service (LICHS) – Permanent, Full Time – Rotorua Hospital About the Role We are searching for a dynamic Team Leader for the Lakes Integrated Community Health Service administration team who is ready to make a meaningful impact. In this role you will lead a high‑performing team and coordinate administrative services across District Nursing, START, NASC, and HiTH throughout the Rotorua and Taupō regions. Ensure the delivery of a timely, high‑quality, and professional administrative service while managing day‑to‑day operations and providing hands‑on relief cover when needed. Hold full line‑management responsibilities including recruitment, induction, coaching and performance management. Drive service quality improvements and deliver regular operational reporting. Role‑model excellence and continuously optimise the service's systems and processes. Maintain the highest standards of data quality, equity and confidentiality. Inspire, support and elevate the team within a fast‑paced community service environment. About the Team / Service / Location The Lakes Integrated Community Health Service (LICHS) is a core service of Health NewZealand | Te Whatu Ora Lakes, dedicated to delivering care directly in the community across Rotorua and Taupō. LICHS brings together the expertise of District Nursing, START (Supported Transfer and Accelerated Rehabilitation Team), HiTH (Hospital in the Home) and NASC (Needs Assessment and Service Coordination) to provide seamless, patient‑centred care. About you Minimum 3years experience leading, coaching and motivating administrative teams, with a genuine pride in training others to succeed and a willingness to step in and support wherever needed. Experience in Patient Management Systems (e.g. iPM) for referrals and scheduling, with a sharp eye for accuracy, tight error control and clear reporting. A meaningful commitment to implementing TeTiriti oWaitangi principles in action, backed by a strong understanding of health literacy and health equity. A natural champion for continuous quality improvement, change management or project management, with a drive to spot service gaps and shape better ways of working. Solid knowledge of community health services such as District Nursing, NASC, START or HiTH, a current NZ driver’s licence and valid NZ work rights.
