Oversee Selwyn's Waste & Resource Recovery Contracts Rolleston, New Zealand Reference: 6910073 About the role: We are looking for an experienced Contract Supervisor to join our Resource Recovery & Waste team. Reporting to the Resource Recovery & Waste Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring Selwyn's resource recovery and waste services are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard for our community. This is a varied role where you'll work closely with contractors, stakeholders, and Council teams to oversee service delivery, drive performance, and support strategic waste minimisation objectives. Responsibilities Lead the day‑to‑day management of the Pines Resource Recovery Park Operations Contract and Kerbside Collections Contract Monitor contractor performance, compliance, health and safety, and environmental standards Manage service requests and ensure timely resolution of customer and operational issues Maintain strong working relationships with contractors and key stakeholders Support the delivery of projects, budgeting, planning, reporting, and continuous improvement initiatives across the Resource Recovery & Waste function About you You are a driven and organised professional with strong relationship management and problem‑solving skills. You enjoy working collaboratively, delivering results, and finding practical solutions. Customer‑focused and committed to continuous improvement, you take pride in making a meaningful contribution to your community.
