Job Title Medical Imaging Technologist – Permanent, Full Time – Rotorua Hospital About the Role We are seeking an NZ Registered Medical Imaging Technologist (MIT) to join our supportive, enthusiastic, and professional Radiology team at Rotorua Hospital, Bay of Plenty, New Zealand. The role is suitable for experienced MITs or new graduate MITs. The successful candidate will work across the General X‑ray Department and participate in the shift and on‑call roster, which includes evening and weekend shifts with overnight cover coming from an on‑call service. About the Team / Service / Location Rotorua Radiology boasts a modern department with 4 digital radiography rooms, two radiography mobiles, two flat‑panel C‑arms, digital fluoroscopy, CT, MRI, and ultrasound services. The team is friendly and social with a great working environment. Health New Zealand (Te Whatu Ora) provides healthcare from two modern general hospitals in Rotorua and Taupo. The Lakes district is a desirable lifestyle destination known for outdoor recreation, family friendly beaches and a growing multicultural community. Qualifications & Requirements Current Annual Practicing Certificate or application for registration with the NewZealand Medical Radiation Technologists Board. Good team player, friendly, approachable, flexible, able to work under pressure and communicate well with others. Ability to work autonomously and independently and to demonstrate critical thinking. Engagement in continued professional development and a passion for the role. CT experience is a bonus but not essential. Responsibilities Perform diagnostic imaging across the General X‑ray Department. Participate in out‑of‑hours evening and weekend shift roster. Provide overnight coverage through an on‑call service.
