About the Role The Salvation Army Bridge Programme currently has vacancies for suitably qualified and experienced Residential Support workers. Some versatility will be required in terms of the variable hours, but they are for predominantly nighttime hours including weekend nights. The applicant should have experience in support work in an addiction or mental health setting and/or hold or be willing to undertake the National Certificate in Mental Health Support Work Level 4. The ability to work in a culturally appropriate and safe manner with Maori and Pacific peoples is essential as is a full / clean driver's licence. Responsibilities To provide a supportive and safe environment for clients within residential housing. Uphold The Salvation Army's Mission and Christian ethos. Value and respect the individuality, dignity and privacy of each client of the Bridge Programme. Preserve confidentiality of clients' personal information. Maintain good communication with clients, family/whanau, and other team members. Committed to the principles of the Treaty of Waitangi as they apply to The Salvation Army Bridge Programme. This role is casual and shifts will be offered when they are available. The starting hourly rate for this role will depend on your qualifications. If you have no qualifications or have Level 1 or 2 qualifications, you will start on a hourly rate of $28.95 per hour. If you have Level 4 qualification, then your start rate will be $29.60.
