Our client is seeking an experienced Machinery Operator to join their team working across a range of civil construction, earthworks, roading, water, and infrastructure projects throughout Central Otago. This is an excellent opportunity for an operator who enjoys working on diverse projects and is comfortable operating a variety of earthmoving equipment. About the Role Operate a range of earthmoving plant and machinery Carry out earthworks, roading, drainage, and infrastructure works Complete daily plant inspections and maintenance checks Work safely around underground services and live worksites Assist with general labouring duties when required Work closely with supervisors and site crews to achieve project outcomes Maintain high standards of workmanship, safety, and productivity What We’re Looking For Essential Full Class 1 Driver Licence Current WTR Endorsements Minimum 3 years’ experience operating civil construction machinery Strong understanding of safe machine operation Physically fit and capable of working in a hands‑on environment Reliable, punctual, and able to follow instructions Strong communication and teamwork skills Highly Regarded Class 2, 3, or 4 Licence Forklift Endorsement Experience operating excavators, loaders, rollers, graders, and dump trucks Experience with excavator attachments including augers, breakers, compactors, and tilt buckets GPS machine control experience What’s on Offer Competitive hourly rates $30-$45 to start depending on experience Ongoing, long-term work Modern fleet and equipment Training and development opportunities Stable workload across a variety of projects Supportive team environment #J-18808-Ljbffr
