Payroll Coordinator

We are looking for an experienced Payroll Coordinator to join our team based at our Highbrook Head Office. This is a varied role that combines payroll processing with employee onboarding, offboarding and HR administration support, making it ideal for someone who thrives on accuracy, organisation and helping people. What you'll be doing Process payroll accurately and on time for your assigned payroll portfolio. Set up new employees and maintain payroll records. Respond to payroll enquiries from employees and managers. Manage onboarding and offboarding administration. Maintain confidential employee records and documentation. Provide support across multiple payroll portfolios when required. Assist with broader HR and Health & Safety administration activities. Support compliance with employment legislation, company policies and payroll best practice. What you'll bring At least 3 years' experience in payroll administration. Exposure to HR administration, onboarding and offboarding processes. Strong knowledge of New Zealand payroll legislation and employment requirements. Exceptional attention to detail and data accuracy. Excellent time management and organisational skills. A customer-focused approach with strong communication skills. The ability to build positive working relationships across the business. A team-first attitude and willingness to support colleagues when required. Why join Open Country?
