We are partnering with a well-established, New Zealand‑owned technology services provider delivering secure, scalable and outcome‑focused IT solutions. The business works with organisations across Microsoft 365, Azure, on‑premises infrastructure and cyber security, combining strong technical capability with a practical, business‑first approach. With an established go‑to‑market strategy, sales process and delivery model already in place, they are now focused on strengthening execution, improving consistency and scaling revenue growth. They are looking for a proven Business Development Manager who brings genuine new business capability, strong outbound sales discipline and experience working within an MSP or technology services environment. Key Responsibilities Generate, progress and close new business opportunities Build pipeline through cold calling, outbound prospecting, networking and targeted account activity Consistently generate a minimum of 8 qualified meetings per month Lead complex, multi‑stakeholder sales opportunities end‑to‑end Sell managed services, Microsoft 365, Azure, on‑premises infrastructure and cyber security solutions Work closely with technical teams to understand customer needs and shape the right solution Present solutions to customers, including service benefits, commercial value and technical capability Contribute to proposals, tenders and customer presentations Maintain clear CRM discipline, accurate forecasting and strong pipeline visibility Refine target segments, value propositions and service positioning Support the wider business in building a more consistent and repeatable sales engine Ideal experience includes Proven B2B sales or business development experience within an MSP or technology services provider; MSP experience is essential Strong cold calling and outbound prospecting capability Track record of generating self‑sourced pipeline and winning new‑logo customers Experience selling managed IT services, Microsoft 365, Azure, infrastructure, cyber security or outsourced IT support Confidence selling recurring revenue or managed services solutions Ability to lead consultative, solution‑based sales conversations with business and technical stakeholders Strong discovery, qualification, presentation, negotiation and closing skills Commercially disciplined, resilient and comfortable being measured on activity, pipeline and revenue Collaborative approach, with the ability to work closely with technical and delivery teams Success Measures Consistent generation of qualified pipeline $80k MRR in new‑logo revenue within 18 months Improved win rates and increased average deal size Strong adoption of sales tools and process discipline What’s on Offer Modern central Auckland offices with strong public transport access Flexible start and finish times (for the right person) Professional development and training support A collaborative, supportive culture Regular team events and a strong social environment A workplace that values performance, accountability, and contribution If you are an MSP sales professional who enjoys cold calling, building pipeline and winning new business, this is a strong opportunity to make a measurable impact in a business ready for its next stage of growth.
