The Role We’re on the lookout for a capable, skilled and dependable Lead Fencer who can take ownership of jobs, represent our brand with pride, and deliver fences built to last. This is a hands‑on position ideal for someone ready to step up into a more autonomous role, while being supported by an experienced team and strong systems. You’ll already be confident in your fencing abilities and have a solid grasp of rural/agricultural fencing systems — but you’re also keen to learn more about running jobs, leading others, and managing customer relationships. Whether you're an experienced fencer ready to lead, or a capable operator looking to grow into business leadership, we want to hear from you. Key Responsibilities Lead fencing crews and manage day-to-day job execution Interpret job specs and site conditions to plan efficient workflows Liaise with clients, suppliers, and subcontractors Construct a range of fences: 7-wire batten, electric systems, post and rail, conservation fencing Operate and maintain machinery (tractors, post drivers, ATVs) Mentor less experienced team members and contribute to a positive, safety‑conscious culture Assist with quoting, job scoping, and materials planning where needed Who You Are Minimum 4-5 years’ experience in rural/agricultural fencing Proven ability to work independently and lead others Strong understanding of fence construction principles and quality standards Comfortable with both physical work and customer communication Holds a full driver’s licence (Class 2 preferred) Safety‑minded, reliable, and takes pride in doing things right the first time Open to learning business systems and growing your role Why Join Us?
