Product Engineer – New Product Introduction & Manufacturing Readiness Join Trimble's Product Engineering team and help bring innovative technology products from prototype into production! Working with design engineers, manufacturing partners, and global teams, you'll develop manufacturing processes, solve technical challenges, and support new product introductions across a diverse portfolio of electronics products. What Makes This Role Great In this role, you will be at the vital intersection of design engineering and manufacturing execution, directly influencing the quality and cost-effectiveness of our products. Own a portfolio of products from prototype through production and sustaining support across global manufacturing partners. Key Responsibilities Spearhead the transition of innovative new products from early concept through the manufacturing lifecycle to final delivery. Partner closely with design engineering, purchasing, and quality teams to qualify top-tier suppliers and establish superior production methodologies. Lead root-cause analysis on manufacturing and test defect data to implement effective, lasting corrective actions. Drive daily production excellence and continuously enhance cost-effectiveness through proactive lean manufacturing practices. Author and manage essential process documentation, test plans, and engineering change orders within our documentation management system. Lead structured troubleshooting and root-cause investigations for manufacturing, test, and field quality issues, driving corrective actions that improve product reliability and production performance. Essential Skills & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Industrial, Systems, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or an equivalent technical field. 5 or more years of experience in electronics and mechanical manufacturing environments. Experience developing, validating, troubleshooting, or supporting manufacturing test fixtures. Strong understanding of general manufacturing systems, including inventory control, assembly processes, test systems, and quality metrics. Proven ability to analyze production workflows, identify process constraints, and implement strategic improvements. Professional fluency in English with excellent cross-functional communication skills. Bonus Points For Experience working with PCB assemblies (PCBAs), electronics manufacturing processes, and associated production test environments. Experience working directly with Agile or similar documentation management systems. Strong background in electronic manufacturing test environments and control software.
