North Shore Closing date: 08 July 2026 Reference: 1103449 Apply Now Registered Nurse – Theatre Southern Cross North Harbour Hospital Role Overview We’re seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our perioperative service at Southern Cross North Harbour Hospital. This full‑time role (1.0 FTE) offers the chance to work within a modern, well‑resourced theatre environment that supports a wide range of surgical procedures, with a strong focus on orthopaedics. As part of our theatre team, you’ll play an important role across the perioperative journey, contributing as both a scrub and circulating nurse to ensure safe, efficient, and well‑coordinated theatre sessions. From preparing patients and equipment through to assisting during procedures, your clinical expertise will support the delivery of consistently high standards of care. This is a highly collaborative environment where you’ll work alongside surgeons, anaesthetists, and a multidisciplinary team, contributing to excellent clinical outcomes and a positive experience for patients. This role is particularly well suited to a nurse who brings relevant experience or a strong interest in orthopaedics. You’ll be joining a team that is supportive, experienced, and committed to continuous improvement. Reporting to the Theatre Services Manager, this opportunity will suit a confident theatre nurse who enjoys working in a fast‑paced setting and takes pride in delivering quality perioperative care. Qualifications Registered Nurse with a current New Zealand practising certificate Minimum of 3 years’ recent experience in an operating theatre Competency in both scrub and circulating roles Calm, organised approach with the ability to perform well under pressure Sound clinical knowledge and confidence across perioperative nursing practice Commitment to safe, high‑quality, patient‑centred care Adaptable and flexible, with the ability to work across a variety of surgical lists Strong communication skills and an ability to build effective working relationships Orthopaedic theatre experience is highly desirable Previous private hospital experience is desirable Benefits Competitive Rewards : Attractive remuneration package, relocation allowance, and employee referral bonus scheme.
