Peak milking 500 cows | System 3-4 | 220,000KgMS | Allfex Collars | Reporoa Located in Reporoa, this dairy farm peak milks around 500 cows and is part of B & N Hathaway (2009) Family Trust — a proud, family-owned farming business built over generations. We are looking for a Farm Manager to lead the farm; someone who values being part of a farming business with strong values, a progressive mindset and a real interest in helping people succeed. About the farm This 200ha effective dairy farm has a 36 bale rotary with ACR’s, Allflex in‑bale milk senses along with cows wearing Allflex collars. The farm runs a System 3–4 farming system with strong pasture management and sensible use of supplements. The herd is a closed herd and is in the Sire Proving Scheme, reflecting the owners’ interest in performance, genetics and doing things well. What we’re looking for We’re looking for a Farm Manager who can confidently lead farm performance and take real ownership of results. You will bring strong practical dairy farming knowledge, sound judgement, and the ability to keep the farm running well across stock, people and pasture. Strong pasture, feed and grazing management skills, with the ability to match feed demand to production targets and keep the basics of the farm system right. Confidence handling farm recording, animal health and compliance requirements, with good attention to detail and an understanding of how accurate information supports better decisions. A strong work ethic and the initiative to plan ahead, solve problems and get on with the job without needing close direction. Genuine enjoyment of animals, pride in farm presentation and the people skills to work well with others while helping build capability in less experienced team members.
