Swim School Instructor

Come join a Swimming New Zealand Platinum Accredited Swim School! Bring your teaching skills and the love of aquatics to provide effective swim tuition to the tamariki of our region. Instructors will be responsible for delivering lessons for primary to intermediate aged school children. Applicants will hold at least one of the following: SNZ Assistant Swim Teacher Award Austswim Teacher of Swimming & Water Safety National Certificate in Recreation and Sport - Aquatics (Swim Education) Level 3 A current First Aid certificate There are term time only, casual and part-time roles available . Due to increasing numbers and participation, this vacancy will run until positions are filled. Please submit your application early to avoid disappointment. These positions will be located at the Wai O Rua - Stratford Aquatic Centre, 53 Portia Street, Stratford. The starting salary for swim school instructors is $23.50 per hour, but will be set depending on experience and qualifications. About You You will be an enthusiastic educator who thrives on encouraging others to succeed. You will deliver a safe and supportive experience while ensuring users enjoy their time. You will have an understanding of life-saving methods, including resuscitation, and experience in teaching school groups. A pool lifeguard practicing certificate and a swimming pool water treatment certificate would be advantageous.
