Job Description
Overview We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and motivated Project Coordinator to join us at the Climate Change Commission in Wellington to deliver some of Aotearoa New Zealand's most important climate‑related work. Responsibilities Planning and coordinating project schedules, milestones and actions. Working closely with and supporting Project Directors and project teams. Organising and supporting workshops, meetings and external engagement. Producing high‑quality project documentation. Monitoring project budgets, risk and issues. Innovating and improving Commission project management practices through the appropriate use of AI for approved purposes, improving tools and templates, and assisting project teams on the use of these. About you Experience coordinating multiple concurrent projects. Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills. Proven project methodology knowledge (PRINCE2, PMI, etc.) with relevant tertiary qualification. Understanding risk management and quality assurance controls across the project lifecycle. Experience using Microsoft Copilot and AI tools. High level of proficiency with Microsoft365 products, including Planner, SharePoint and Teams. Highly effective planning, time and resource management skills in a complex work environment. Understanding of the principles of TeTiritioWaitangi, teaoMāori and experience engaging with Iwi/Māori.
