Job Description

Responsibilities Champion a customer‑centric approach, balancing user needs and business requirements Embed UX and UI practices into project and delivery ways of working Partner with digital delivery teams, digital marketing, and the UX Manager to meet delivery dates and design standards Produce end‑to‑end design outputs: user flows, detailed wireframes, clickable prototypes, high‑fidelity UI, and final build‑ready assets Design within brand guidelines and an established design system to ensure consistency and quality Identify and support customer research and user testing opportunities, including planning and running testing when needed Help manage and evolve the design system, applying interaction design, visual design, and accessibility (WCAG) best practice Support web and app page production with final media assets and layouts, ensuring accessibility, consistency, and handover‑ready outputs Qualifications 5 to 7+ years’ experience across UX design (IA, user flows, wireframes, prototypes) for web and mobile 5 to 7+ years’ experience across UI design, including strong visual craft (typography, colour, layout, icons) Strong knowledge of UX and UI best practice for desktop, responsive web, and native mobile Confident designing within and contributing to design systems / pattern libraries (governance‑aware) Solid understanding of accessibility standards (WCAG) and how to apply them in design and systems Advanced capability in design and prototyping tools, ideally Figma plus tools such as Sketch, Miro, InDesign, Adobe Creative Suite Experience conducting usability testing with customers and translating insights into design improvements Experience working in agile delivery teams and collaborating closely with developers and product stakeholders Strong communication and stakeholder management, able to clearly rationalise and defend design decisions Pragmatic, flexible, detail‑oriented, with the ability to balance interaction polish with delivery timelines Portfolio demonstrating user‑centred design across multiple platforms (web, mobile, app) Relevant qualification (Bachelor’s in design, psychology, HCI/human factors), or equivalent experience Offer Auckland‑based, on‑site contract within an established digital product environment End‑to‑end ownership across UX, UI, prototyping and final asset delivery (web and app) Work on a high‑visibility, customer‑facing platform with frequent releases and tangible impact Strong partnership with an experienced User Experience Manager and cross‑functional squads Opportunity to shape and evolve a mature design system, components and patterns Mix of discovery, delivery and optimisation work informed by customer insights and testing Collaborative culture with close alignment across Product, Delivery, Engineering and Digital Marketing #J-18808-Ljbffr
