Healthcare Assistant - Nephrology and General Med 0.9 FTE (36 hours per week) Rotating roster: Monday – Sunday, morning, afternoon, and night shifts HealthNew Zealand | Te Whatu Ora is firmly grounded in the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and is committed to building a health system that serves all New Zealanders. About the Role Healthcare Assistants are instrumental in providing care to patients and supporting the clinical team. As a Healthcare Assistant you will assist nursing staff with patient care while maintaining a safe and clean work environment on the ward. About Service Ward 14, based at Christchurch Hospital, is a 24-bed ward that specialises in the care of Nephrology (including renal transplantation) and General Medicine patients. About You We are seeking a Healthcare Assistant who has a passion and commitment to the delivery of high standards of care for patients. Enthusiastic and motivated, you will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills and enjoy working in a fast‑paced, forward‑thinking, supportive environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills and the ability to engage well. High attention to detail and the ability to relate to patients and their families. Good initiative and problem‑solving skills. Excellent time‑management skills and a willingness to learn. Ideally experience as a Healthcare Assistant or similar.
