Overview As a Registered Nurse at our Wigram village, you will be part of a team that provides quality aged care and creates the best most enjoyable lifestyle for our care centre residents. Our residents are often here for many years, and our approach to care is resident-directed. The ultimate focus is their quality of life. Responsibilities Managing residents’ everyday needs, from clinical to end-of-life care Creating and following long term care plans as well as clinical assessments Taking charge of the care centre on certain shifts and making appropriate clinical decisions Delivering planned nursing care and evaluating progress in partnership with the resident and their family to enhance their daily lives Providing guidance and direction to the caregivers on shift Building trusted relationships with residents and their families Part‑time shift pattern: 0645‑1500 Thursdays; 1445‑2300 Sundays Qualifications NZ Registration and a current Practicing Certificate A genuine interest in working with older people and an understanding of clinical services in a retirement village Demonstrated ability to take the lead, remain calm under pressure, and be emotionally resilient Good communication skills and the ability to build rapport with residents, families, and colleagues Benefits Weekend additional penal hourly rates apply Southern Cross Health Essentials Insurance Days assigned to professional development and access to external training Paid time off for PDRP Next Steps Applications for this role will close on the 11th May.
