Job Description

Ministerial Resourcing are seeking expressions of interest for the Ministerial Advisor role, across Ministerial Offices. This is an ongoing expression of interest. Applications will be reviewed as vacancies arise, both current and future, including fixed-term, roving, acting and events-based opportunities aligned with the Parliamentary term. Responsibilities Provide high-quality advice and analysis across the Minister's portfolio Review and coordinate briefings, Cabinet papers, and policy proposals Liaise with agencies, senior officials, and stakeholders Identify risks, opportunities, and emerging issues Support the development and delivery of Ministerial priorities Contribute to the coordination and workflow of the Minister's office Qualifications Strong analytical and problem-solving skills The ability to translate complex policy into clear advice Political awareness and sound judgement Experience working with Government processes and agencies (desirable) Strong written and verbal communication skillslis Ability to manage competing priorities and tight timeframes Demonstrable ability to operate effectively in a fast-moving, politically sensitive environment Role Details Type: Events-based (aligned with the 3-year parliamentary term) Location: Wellington Salary Band: $99,025 - $141,915 per annum (based on skills, experience, and internal parity) Eligibility: Applicants must be New Zealand Citizens or Permanent Residents and able to obtain and maintain a national security clearance at CONFIDENTIAL or above.
