Job Description

Open to applicants with a Medical Science Council of NZ (MSC) or an approved Registered Anaesthetic Technician Practising Certificate, or a Registered Nurse with an Anaesthetic Assistant Qualification and Practising Certificate. Part‑time to full‑time, 64 to 80 hours per fortnight, hours negotiable (Mon‑Fri, rostered shifts) with additional on‑call duties. About the Role We are looking for an Anaesthetic Technician / Registered Nurse Anaesthetic Assistant to join our Theatre team in Timaru Hospital. You will be working with a supportive, friendly team, assisting in multiple peri‑operative scenarios, maintaining and practicing the highest level of patient care. Qualifications A current Medical Science Council of NZ (MSC) approved Registered Anaesthetic Technician practising certificate, or Registered Nurse with Anaesthetic Assistant Qualification, A minimum of one to two years of relevant technical experience, Knowledge of the relevant legislation and standards governing healthcare practice in New Zealand, Proven excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
