Family Works: our social services supporting children and whānau through counselling, social work, life-skills and parenting programmes and safety services. The Enliven Bureau team provide support to our residential homes at times when they need additional cover for leave, absences, special events or unexpected or high volume of workloads. They are an essential part of the wider Enliven team and ensure that our Homes can run seamlessly at all times and offer continuity of care and support to our Elders. Our Wellington Homes are in Karori, Tawa, Johnsonville and Lower Hutt. Together, we make a lasting difference. About the role We are looking for Healthcare Assistants to join our Enliven Bureau team working casually to support our Wellington Region Homes. Our Homes provide rest home, hospital and dementia level care. Hours of work are AM, PM and Night shifts across a 7 day week. This role is supporting all our Wellington Homes including Huntleigh, Longview, Cashmere and Woburn Home. You will work as part of an Enliven team in a peer-supported environment, where everyone wants to deliver great quality care to our residents and ensure they have a positive experience whilst living in our home. In this role you will: Provide daily living and care support to our Elders Encourage independence and resident‑led decision making Deliver high‑quality, individualised support Follow and encourage all health and safety practices and procedures Work under the direction and supervision of the Registered Nurse team Ensure resident needs are met effectively and in a timely manner About You As well as a passion for the wellbeing of older people, you will be enthusiastic but patient and well organised with great interpersonal skills. You will share our values of empathy, compassion, and respect, and operate with a person‑centred approach and high care standards. Whether you are spending time with staff or residents, it's all about the way we communicate with each other and how we get the job done that counts towards making the difference to everyone's day. Qualifications Minimum 2 years’ experience as a Health Care Assistant Hold a Health & Wellbeing Certificate Level 2 or higher, or currently working towards it Passionate about supporting the wellbeing of older people Patient, organised, and a strong team player Good verbal communication and documentation skills Be comfortable using a computer and keeping digital records About our benefits A job with Enliven is a career that supports and empowers thousands of people to live happy, healthy lives.
