The region stretches from Hawkes Bay and Whanganui in the north, Horowhenua and Kapiti Coast to the west, Palmerston North in the centre, Wairarapa to the east, and Hutt Valley and Wellington to the south.Our region is sparsely populated with most of the population clustered in urban areas: Napier, Hastings, Palmerston North, Whanganui, Paraparaumu, Waikanae, Porirua, Hutt Valley and Wellington.**About the Role**The Regional Recruitment Lead is responsible for managing the regional Recruitment team and Workforce Planner to deliver a high-quality, consistent and timely recruitment services for the region. They will ensure the capability and capacity of the team. They will oversee the customer experience, especially for hiring managers and candidates. They will be accountable for regional data quality and reporting, including to support regional and national planning and reporting functions.This role provides leadership in the change process to form regional coordination and support the development and implementation of national processes and ways of working. As implementation progresses, the role will ensure the national recruitment tools and processes are applied consistently across the region, in customer-centric way. It provides strong operational excellence ensuring the services are provided in an effective and economic way. This role will work closely with regional and district leads and national functions to embed unified processes and retire local legacy practices.They will collaborate with the regional teams to support the development of effective attraction campaigns and the identification and development of potential internal resources/candidates. They will collaborate with the National People Operations team on recruitment systems, data, service design, management and improvement.**About you**With more than eight years' experience across recruitment, talent management and/or generalist HR, including at least five years in people leadership roles, you bring a depth of expertise in leading high-performing recruitment functions. Experience partnering with senior leaders has enabled you to successfully develop and implement large-scale recruitment and sourcing strategies that align with organisational priorities and workforce needs.A confident communicator, you build strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels and are skilled at influencing, negotiating and providing trusted advice. You thrive in complex environments, balancing strategic thinking with a practical, solutions-focused approach.Known for your methodical problem-solving and ability to navigate competing priorities, you remain calm, patient and focused on achieving the best outcomes.
