Ophthalmology Specialist - Cataract & Paediatric Care

Whangarei, Northland, New Zealand Permanent full-time position About the Role We are looking for an experienced Specialist with a sub-speciality interest to join our busy, innovative and close-knit team in delivering Ophthalmology care to our community. We are committed to providing high quality services across our region bringing a diversity of Ophthalmological care as close to the community as possible. Cataract surgery forms a staple part of services provided so it is essential candidates interested in joining our team have this experience as well as contributing to the consultant on-call roster (1:5). This role involves working with a diverse patient population, including children. As such, candidates with paediatric ophthalmology experience or a demonstrated interest in working with children are strongly preferred. The successful candidate will play a key role in assessing, diagnosing, and supporting treatment plans while ensuring a positive and reassuring experience for young patients and their families.
