Psychiatrist – Community Assessment Team Permanent full-time 1.0 FTE (80 hours a fortnight) On-call allowance Nelson, New Zealand About this position Deliver quality acute care to outpatients based in Nelson Community. Join a supportive multidisciplinary team including registrars, mental health nurses, and social workers. Be responsible for leadership and further development of the Community Assessment Team and develop a consultation-liaison service based on evidence‑based and best practice models. Liaise with whānau and others involved in patients’ care, and make referrals to community services. Qualifications Bring your psychiatric expertise to improve mental health for the adult population in the region. Hold Fellowship of the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Psychiatrists, or equivalent. Be eligible for an Annual Practising Certificate and vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand. Have experience providing assessment, diagnosis and treatment interventions to individuals with mental health and addictive disorders.
