Civil Materials Laboratory Cadet or Technician – Gisborne Laboratory We’re looking for a motivated Cadet or Junior Technician to join our Gisborne Laboratory team. This is an entry‑level opportunity, and no previous laboratory experience is required – we’ll provide full training. We’re seeking someone who is physically capable, enjoys hands‑on work, and has an interest in pursuing a career as a Civil Materials Laboratory Technician. You’ll also be comfortable with basic data entry and flexible to work occasional overtime when needed. In this role, you’ll contribute to a variety of projects across both laboratory and field environments, supporting work that helps shape the future of our communities. About You Experience in labour or trades‑based roles (e.g. construction, roading, warehousing, farming) is advantageous Strong physical fitness and ability to safely handle heavy materials and equipment Basic computer skills and confidence following digital instructions A team player with good communication skills Willingness to travel and work overtime when required Full, clean New Zealand driver’s licence Please note that applicants must have full, unrestricted working rights in New Zealand, as this role is not eligible for Accredited Employer Work Visa sponsorship.
