Occupational Therapist (Neuro) – Hawkes Bay Fallen Soldiers Hospital Permanent, Full-Time; 80 hours per fortnight (1 FTE). About the Role Your next step in your Occupational Therapy career awaits: a challenging opportunity to expand your neuro assessment and therapy skills at the Hawkes Bay Hospital. As a Neurological Occupational Therapist, you will be based in the inpatient rehabilitation ward while also supporting the acute neurological ward. You will work in partnership with the Occupational Therapy Team and the wider Allied Health Team to provide high‑quality, person‑centred neurological rehabilitation. You will bring creative solutions to complex patients, support and guide rotational occupational therapists and students, and be actively involved in ongoing quality improvement initiatives within the neuro and wider OT team. About the Team / Service / Location You will join a diverse team of acute and sub‑acute Occupational Therapists and rehabilitation clinicians. We value continued professional development, mentoring, supervision and ongoing training. You will have access to regular in‑service training, special interest working groups, and learning opportunities to develop your clinical, cultural, quality improvement, and leadership skills. The Occupational Therapy Professional Lead will support your growth and promote the OT service throughout our hospital. About you Current New Zealand Occupational Therapy registration and APC. Minimum of two years experience with clinical skills in inpatient rehabilitation. Confidence with processes and practices to maximise therapy and support equitable outcomes. Passion for rehab and capability to lead and drive service improvement for occupational therapy and the wider allied health team.
