Anaesthetic Technician/Anaesthetic Nurse (RNAA) Permanent, full time opportunities. Work to the top of your scope of practice! About the Role Anaesthetic Technicians and RNAAs at Waitematā District collectively cover our three sites: North Shore Hospital, Waitākere Hospital, and Tōtara Haumaru, around the clock. We offer a multidisciplinary team approach by working in many areas across theatres and the wider district, with opportunities to be a member of the Resus/Cardiac Arrest and Transport teams. We are looking for energetic, positive and highly motivated persons, who will be able to share our commitment to excellence and have a broad range of experience in many surgical / PACU and anaesthetic specialities including: ENT Obstetrics Gynecology Orthopaedics General surgery Urology Emergency Department Intensive care About Us Health New Zealand Te Whatu Ora Waitematā District provides health services to approximately 650,000 residents of the North Shore, Waitākere and Rodney areas. Our two main sites include North Shore Hospital, located on the shore of Lake Pupuke with views of Rangitoto Island; and Waitākere Hospital, set at the foot of the Waitākere Ranges and close to the black volcanic sand beaches of the west coast. About you To be eligible for this role, you will be a qualified anaesthesia support health professional with a relevant qualification such as an experienced Anaesthetic Technician or RNAA with a minimum of two years of post‑qualification experience. You will currently hold or be eligible for registration with the Medical Sciences Council of New Zealand (http://www.mscouncil.org.nz/) or a current APC with the Nursing Council of NZ. Additionally, you will have excellent communication skills, a calm and mature personality, and the ability to work both independently and as part of our proactive, hardworking team.
