Our customers are using Halter to break free from the time‑intensive constraints of conventional practices. Imagine watching 500 cattle stand up and walk calmly toward their next break—no quad bikes, no dogs, no fences. Our customers are revolutionizing grazing with Halter, changing lives and transforming an industry. People join Halter to do meaningful work: solving challenging problems within a talented team and a high‑performance culture. About The Role Halter is looking for high performing Mechanical Engineering students to join the Halter Hardware team for the summer. Your work will be fundamental to ensuring the success of the hardware team’s goals and pivotal in driving key performance improvements across the product. You will work closely with the Electronics, Mechanical, Firmware, and Production engineering teams in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment where decisions are made quickly and everyone has an impact. The internship will run from mid‑to‑late November 2026 through February 2027. It is onsite, full‑time, and requires a 40‑hour work week. What Your Day Could Look Like Product Development – Assist the mechanical team in designing, prototyping, and testing new devices, including design for injection moulding, sheet metal, metal extrusion, and die casting. Production – Help production engineers solve complex challenges, increase efficiencies, and refine the production machine. Testing & Validation – Design and execute thorough test regimes to fully qualify new products or iterations. Reduce device cost, increase device reliability and performance. Design and build ancillary jigs, fixtures, and test equipment to support hardware development and production. Assist with the procurement of components and parts. Assist the hardware team with any other miscellaneous projects required to complete high‑level team objectives. Who are we looking for? Enrolled in your penultimate or final year, or have recently completed a mechanical, mechatronics, or related engineering degree. Deeply curious with a strong desire to learn and grow in all areas.
