Primary Mental Health Clinician or Psychologist We are recruiting for a Mental Health Clinician/Psychologist to join our passionate Rotorua PRIMHIS team (Primary Integration & Mental Health & Intervention Service). The role offers a fixed‑term 12 months parental leave cover and part‑time (0.5 FTE/40 hours per fortnight). Friendly, experienced team and peer support Continuing education support Prioritized regular individual and team supervision Opportunity to work in the beautiful Rotorua area Development post consideration for newly qualified or less experienced clinicians About the Role Provide individualized, high‑quality evidence‑based psychological therapies for people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties. Use routine Feedback Informed Treatment. Potential to facilitate groups. Work across a range of locations in the Rotorua area. Collaborate with colleagues from other organisations and primary care, such as Health Improvement Practitioners. About the Team/Service/Location PRIMHIS is a small but growing multi‑disciplinary team of psychologists and other mental health professionals, delivering person‑centred, brief psychological interventions. Core service hours are Monday‑Friday 8:00am‑4:30pm, with optional evening clinic hours. About you Experienced or newly qualified clinician with a growth mindset and motivation to develop therapeutic skills. Training and experience in evidence‑based talking therapies, preferably brief psychological interventions. Ability to formulate and adapt approaches to the individual's needs, age, and cultural identity. Motivated, reliable, able to work autonomously requiring strong relational skills with clients, whānau, and colleagues. Registered health or social care professional with current APC (or seeking registration). Current full clean NZ driver’s licence and ability to meet child‑worker safety checks. Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to learning.
