Job Description

The Opportunity: Ensuring the stability, availability, and performance of IT systems and applications through proactive monitoring, issue resolution, and ongoing maintenance. The role supports business operations by managing system upgrades, ensuring compliance with policies and regulations, and delivering reliable IT solutions that meet organizational needs. It also contributes to the successful delivery of IT projects, effective coordination across technical teams, and consistent communication with stakeholders, while maintaining a strong focus on service quality and operational efficiency. What You’ll Do: Monitor and maintain systems, ensuring timely resolution of issues. Analyze software and hardware problems and coordinate effective, practical solutions. Perform system software upgrades, including planning, scheduling, testing, and coordination. Ensure availability and reliability of systems and application environments through proactive and reactive maintenance. Ensure adherence to corporate and divisional policies, standards, and procedures. Ensure compliance with all relevant governmental and regulatory requirements. Ensure IT applications effectively meet organizational needs. Communicate clearly and professionally with team members and external stakeholders on matters related to IT applications. Demonstrate punctuality and reliability in meeting deadlines and work schedules. Work effectively in a team environment that includes both infrastructure and application specialists. Successfully execute IT projects deployed locally or initiated by corporate groups. Maintain strong awareness and appreciation of internal and external customer needs. Demonstrate the ability to multitask and work independently with minimal supervision. Provide IT technical expertise and collaborate with various site functions, including Engineering and Manufacturing Operations. Perform detailed operational analysis of data collection systems and control software. Prepare testing and validation documentation, including the execution of hardware and installation activities for manufacturing systems where applicable. Lead the development and management of external vendor technical resources to support solution implementation and ongoing maintenance. Investigate and troubleshoot control systems to optimize operational performance. Communicate regularly with project teams, providing updates, reports, and project evaluations. Conduct technical training sessions for internal and external users across various systems. Lead design reviews to ensure solutions meet operational requirements. Ensure testing and change control activities comply with corporate policies and standards. Oversee integration of hardware, software, communication protocols, and user interfaces to ensure seamless system operation. Requirements: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science or related discipline Minimum 3 years of experience in similar position Understanding of GAMP 5 or SQA (Software Quality Assurance) or equivalent knowledge Excellent communication skills including the ability to translate technical information into basic understanding, and the ability to communicate effectively and tactfully with a diversity of people at an individual and team level. Excellent attention to detail Demonstrates strong judgment, problem‑solving, and decision‑making skills Experience in manufacturing industry preferred Location This position is based in Waikato District > Pokeno.
