Job Description

Operations & Marketing Manager DM Global Limited is seeking an experienced Operations & Marketing Manager to oversee daily activities and drive commercial growth at our Hamilton facility. Key Responsibilities Lead, motivate, and support front‑line team members within a busy retail warehouse environment, including shift allocation, performance training, and customer issue resolution. Manage data collection and stock tracking via inventory software to achieve turnover targets, reduce operational waste, and deliver an excellent customer service experience. Partner with upper management to execute the store's 12‑month marketing blueprint across social media networks and localized physical print distributions. Oversee materials, incoming freight documentation, and warehouse inventory placement security. Conduct budget reviews relating to marketing ROI and report expenditure plans directly to upper management. Maintain constant communication with vendors, local suppliers, and freight handlers to ensure proper supply chain operations. Develop, implement, and maintain strict stock‑take and quality assurance protocols to minimise inventory variance. Increase the efficiency of existing distribution procedures to enhance internal capacity and meet target delivery frameworks. Ensure that both offline and online operational activities remain on time and strictly within budgeted cost‑of‑sales limits. Track sales and digital transaction trends to adjust front‑end merchandising configurations and promotional placements. Oversee local business development pipelines to secure bulk‑ordering trade accounts with nearby businesses and community groups. Required Skills & Qualifications Minimum two years of experience in an operations management role or a bachelor’s degree (or equivalent) in operations management, business administration, or related field. Strong skills in inventory control tracking, stock rotation planning, and supply chain coordination. Excellent ability to delegate shift responsibilities while maintaining organisational control of facility floor compliance and customer service benchmarks. Functional understanding of digital ad targeting, promotional content creation, and basic storefront optimisation systems. Preferred Skills & Qualifications Working knowledge of modern e‑commerce platform back‑ends such as Shopify management tools and barcode‑linked POS inventory software. Strong IT and data literacy skills, including spreadsheet reporting and managing digital customer databases. Multiple years of experience handling supplier communications and product procurement negotiation. Ability to communicate effectively across diverse cultural demographics to optimise community outreach. Employment Details & Remuneration Location: Hamilton, N, NZ. Hours: Full‑time, permanent; minimum 30 guaranteed hours per week, including rostered weekend and evening shifts. Wage Rate: NZD$30–$35 per hour, depending on experience.
