Tech Lead - Software Engineering

Technical Lead – Software Engineering Lead the software design and delivery of cutting‑edge enterprise solutions with a focus on cloud‑based applications. Work collaboratively with internal teams to deliver a range of software solutions to diverse engineering teams across NewZealand and globally. Act as a key contributor to new and existing digital projects, mentor developers, and act as a go‑to person for complex solutions and stakeholder engagement. This role requires the ability to switch focus and prioritise work and to drive technical direction throughout the software development lifecycle. Responsibilities Lead technical delivery of innovative software solutions in a growing digital product development team. Collaborate with internal teams to deliver software solutions to diverse engineering teams. Support technical direction for software solutions across planning, estimation, feature development, ongoing support, and roadmap guidance. Mentor and support team growth, sharing knowledge and expertise. Engage with stakeholders to deliver key outcomes and manage priorities. Develop and contribute to scalable, secure, and high‑availability cloud‑based applications. Qualifications Experience as a full‑stack developer with cloud‑based software products, web development, API integration, distributed systems, and software security. Proficiency in C#, .NET, Azure, Blazor, TypeScript, JavaScript, SQL, and React. Hands‑on experience with Microsoft Azure, including high‑availability solutions. Strong communication skills and ability to build collaborative relationships across business levels. Proactive, flexible, comfortable with ambiguity. Experience in an enterprise environment focused on scalable and sustainable solutions (beneficial). Agile development background (Scrum or other methodologies). Azure DevOps, YAML, Bicep, Power Platform, Fabric, Microservices, or other languages (Python, C++, Go, F#, etc.) are beneficial.
