Supporting a workforce of more than 1,200 employees nationwide, our payroll function is central to our operations, and we’re seeking a capable Payroll Administrator to join us on a fixed-term contract through to February 2027 . This is a busy, end-to-end payroll position managing both weekly and monthly pay cycles. You’ll partner closely with our People & Culture team, Finance, and branches across the country, while also providing support and troubleshooting for our Kronos. To succeed, you’ll bring a high level of attention to detail, strong time management skills, and a composed, solutions-focused mindset. We’re looking for someone who is collaborative, adaptable, and ready to make an immediate impact. What we’re looking for 2+ years of payroll experience in a medium‑to‑large organisation Hands‑on experience with Chris21 payroll software and Kronos Time & Attendance Strong understanding of NZ employment legislation, including the Employment Relations Act 2000, Wages Protection Act 1983, and Holidays Act 2003 Flexibility to adjust hours when required In‑depth knowledge of KiwiSaver and PAYE processes, including preparation and filing Advanced MS Office skills and confidence working across multiple systems The successful applicant will be required to undertake a Pre-Employment Health Assessment (including drugs test) and complete a Ministry of Justice criminal records check, the results of which must be to EnviroNZ’s satisfaction.
