Job Description

Senior Adviser, Outcomes & Impacts Fixed‑term or secondment opportunity until May 2028, Wellington-based. The role involves developing, delivering and continuously improving curriculum data management practices and the resulting impacts on products and services. The successful candidate will be based in Wellington and be able to work in the CBD at least three days a week. Responsibilities Play a pivotal role in the development, delivery and continuous improvement of curriculum data management practices and associated impacts on products and services. Act as a trusted advisor, collaborating closely with team members and stakeholders to provide curriculum expertise, using data and analysis to inform recommendations. Work closely with stakeholders to provide value‑add, fit‑for‑purpose advice and guidance. Research, gather and provide insights to support decision‑making, business cases and ministerial correspondence. Build credible relationships quickly and positively, engaging with all levels of stakeholders. Provide robust recommendations into curriculum, teaching and learning resources across the curriculum framework. Deliver under pressure, maintain focus on the broader goals, and hold accountability for own workload and delivery to a high standard. Qualifications & Requirements Capability to confidently work in all aspects of the curriculum framework. Experience supporting curriculum changes and identifying impactful practices for students and external stakeholders. Strong analytical skills and the ability to translate data insights into actionable recommendations. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Conceptual thinker with the ability to translate aspirations into quantifiable actions. Results‑focused, able to deliver under pressure while maintaining focus on the big picture. Ability to navigate complex issues with ease, working at pace and delivering smart solutions. Understanding of TeTiriti oWaitangi in the education sector.
