As a Site Reliability Engineer, you’ll help ensure our platforms are resilient, scalable and secure, enabling millions of New Zealanders to bank with confidence. Responsibilities You’ll work closely with engineers across Digital & Technology teams, contributing to the design, operation and continuous improvement of our systems. You’ll build your technical capability, solve challenging problems, and embed reliability and quality into everything we do from day one. You’ll be part of a culture that values empowered teams over heroics, strong engineering principles over shortcuts, and learning over blame. Qualifications Experience working with AWS, Kubernetes and modern CI/CD practices 2+ years’ commercial experience in Site Reliability Engineering, Systems Engineering, Platform Engineering or a similar technology role Experience supporting production systems and contributing to incident response and problem resolution activities Exposure to Terraform and infrastructure‑as‑code principles Experience with scripting or automation and a passion for improving processes Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively within cross‑functional Agile teams A collaborative mindset with a willingness to learn, share knowledge and continuously improve Bonus Experience with observability, monitoring and alerting tools Exposure to GitOps, DevSecOps or automated compliance practices Experience with networking, configuration management, containers or cloud technologies Contributions to technical documentation, runbooks or operational processes Benefits Flexible working arrangements that suit both your needs and ours.
