We’re seeking a Psychologist to join our ACC services, across both assessment and treatment pathways. Opportunities include mental injury and neuropsychological assessments (MICPI, WRMI), as well as evidence‑based treatment across ACC Psychological Services, Pain, Concussion, and Training for Independence (TI).This role is based in our Christchurch office. What you’ll be doing No two days are ever the same! You’ll be exposed to diverse cultures and clinical opportunities, working with a range of clients and mental health conditions. You will be supported by a dedicated team leader, as well as the clinical lead for psychology and the clinical advisory team in developing and honing your skills in the services APM provides. Manage a clinical case load equivalent to 6.5 hours of client contact time a day Work across a variety of contracts including, ACC contracts such as Sensitive Claims, Psychological Services, Training for Independence and Pain Management Services, as well as other services such as Police and private referrals. Provide evidence-based talking therapy Deliver high quality clinical assessments and reports Engage in collaborative, multi-disciplinary treatment of clients. Treatment roles Competence in evidence‑based interventions (e.g. CBT, ACT, EMDR, trauma‑informed) Focus on functional rehabilitation and outcomes‑based treatment Treatment only roles available (no mental injury assessment delivery) Assessment roles (Mental Injury & Neuropsychology) Eligible for mental injury assessments (MICPI/WRMI) and/or NZ‑registered psychologist with a current APC, competent in independent psychological assessment (not treatment), including diagnosis, causation, functional impact, and ACC‑aligned reporting. Eligible under the ACC Neuropsychological Assessment Services contract Clinical or Neuropsychology scope Postgraduate neuropsychology training (for neuropsych roles) Strong skills in independent assessment, validity testing, and ACC‑aligned reporting Assessment‑only roles available (no treatment delivery) Your Perks & Rewards Reimbursement of Professional membership and Annual Practicing Certificate Professional development and supervision support Laptop & phone provided Support from national clinical and cultural panels, focus groups and special interest groups. Qualifications & Experience NZ Psychologists Board registration with current APC Strong formulation, documentation, and MDT collaboration skills Complete and deliver high quality clinical assessments and reports Have excellent communication skills and a team-orientated approach to delivering intervention Have excellent time-management skills and the ability to work independently and prioritise tasks effectively For positions involving neuropsychological assessment, vocational registration as a clinical or neuropsychologist is required. Clinical psychologist will need to demonstrate completion of graduate level coursework in Neuropsychology.
