Job Description

We’re working with a specialist consulting firm that partners with finance teams to deliver finance transformation programmes, with a particular focus on planning, forecasting, reporting, and performance management use cases. They’re looking for a Senior Consultant to join their growing planning transformation team. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys working closely with finance stakeholders, designing practical solutions, and delivering meaningful planning improvements across a range of client environments. Responsibilities Leading the design and delivery of planning solutions across finance use cases, including budgeting, forecasting, P&L planning, workforce planning, cost centre planning, and management reporting Working directly with FP&A, finance, and business stakeholders to understand requirements and translate them into effective planning models and processes Building, configuring, and enhancing planning models within platforms Supporting finance transformation initiatives by improving planning processes, reporting outputs, data flows, and overall usability Creating dashboards, reports, templates, and planning views that support day‑to‑day finance decision‑making Advising clients on best practice across planning model design, governance, process improvement, and solution adoption Managing workstreams, supporting junior consultants, and contributing to successful project delivery from design through to implementation Playing an active role in shaping client solutions and helping the firm continue to grow its planning transformation capability Requirements Proven hands‑on experience delivering planning solutions using Adaptive Planning, Vena Solutions, Anaplan, and/or Pigment A strong understanding of finance processes, particularly budgeting, forecasting, planning, reporting, and FP&A Experience working in consulting, finance transformation, systems implementation, or a client‑facing delivery environment The ability to gather requirements, challenge assumptions, and translate finance needs into well‑structured planning solutions Strong communication skills, with the confidence to work directly with senior finance stakeholders and non‑technical users Experience supporting or leading project workstreams, including design, build, testing, training, and go‑live activities A practical, delivery‑focused mindset with the ability to balance technical solution design with real business outcomes Relevant platform certifications are desirable, but not essential This role would suit someone who enjoys being close to both finance and technology, and who wants to work on varied planning transformation projects rather than a single internal system environment. #J-18808-Ljbffr
