Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Whanganui is seeking two enthusiastic **Allied Health Assistants** to join our **Short-term Loan Equipment service**team.This is a rewarding role supporting the provision, management, and distribution of equipment that helps people safely remain in their homes and communities. You will work closely with Allied Health clinicians, patients, whānau, and community providers to ensure equipment is available, maintained, and issued in a timely manner.**About the Role**As an Allied Health Assistant within the Short-term loan equipment service, you will:* Manage daily equipment requests, allocations, deliveries, returns and storage of equipment.* Liaise with patient/whanau.* Assist with equipment delivery and collection processes.* Prepare, clean, inspect, and maintain loan equipment.* Support Allied Health clinicians with equipment management and patient-related tasks as required.* Maintain accurate records across multiple computer systems.* Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management.* Ensure equipment is safe, functional, and compliant with service requirements.* Contribute to a positive team environment focused on excellent customer service.You will need to have excellent communication skills, being able to work within a team to assist effective client/patient care planning and effective discharge and promoting an empowerment model of care and maintain great working relationships with key members of the team.You will report to the Kaitakitaki Operations Manager – Allied Health.
