Job Description
We’re looking for a Senior Business Performance Reporting Analyst to join Fletcher Construction. This is a senior role within a well-established finance team, where you will play a key role in leading the FP&A function and owning business performance reporting. You’ll work closely with finance leaders and operational teams to deliver clear, accurate insights that support decision-making. Key Responsibilities: Lead the delivery of business performance insights across financial and operational metrics, providing clear visibility to senior leadership Act as a trusted business partner to finance leaders and operational teams, using BI tools (primarily IBM Planning Analytics) to deliver meaningful, decision-ready insights Own and lead budgeting, forecasting, and planning cycles, ensuring alignment with business strategy and operational drivers Deliver high-quality monthly performance reporting, including clear analysis and commentary on trends, risks, and opportunities Partner closely with operational teams to improve project performance, cost control, and commercial outcomes Identify opportunities to enhance financial performance through continuous improvement initiatives across processes, systems, and reporting Drive efficiencies and consistency across reporting and planning processes, lifting overall capability of the FP&A function Provide ad hoc analysis and strategic support to senior stakeholders as required What You’ll Bring to the Role: A CA qualification (or equivalent) with around 5+ years’ experience in FP&A, reporting, or commercial finance Strong experience with performance reporting, budgeting, and forecasting in a corporate or commercial environment Confidence working with BI tools and data environments such as Power BI, IBM Planning Analytics, or similar High attention to detail with the ability to identify trends, risks, and inconsistencies Clear communication skills, with the ability to translate financial insights for a range of stakeholders A collaborative approach, with proven ability to build relationships across finance and the wider business What’s on offer: Based at our office in Penrose, with free staff parking and on-site café KiwiSaver employer contribution matched up to 4% In-house technical training and leadership development programmes A range of retail benefits for you and your family to enjoy Fletcher Construction is a leading construction and infrastructure business delivering complex projects that support New Zealand’s communities, economy and future growth.
