Job Description

Overview A fantastic opportunity to lead AUT's Student Counselling and Mental Health service within an integrated student wellbeing environment. The successful candidate will guide a multidisciplinary team across AUT's campuses, with this position based at the City Campus. Responsibilities Lead the development and implementation of initiatives to enhance the quality, accessibility, and effectiveness of counselling and mental health support for students. Provide strategic leadership to the Student Counselling and Mental Health service and work collaboratively across the Student Services portfolio. Oversee operations across AUT's campuses and ensure high standards of wellbeing services. Qualifications and Experience A tertiary qualification in Psychology, Counselling, Mental Health, Social Work or similar A relevant professional membership with a current practicing certificate (APC) Clinical experience in community mental health services; experience in youth mental health is an advantage Prior leadership experience in a mental health or social services setting Experience developing collaborative practice within health or social service sectors Sound judgement and critical thinking for effective decision making In-depth experience in risk management A minimum of five years’ service management experience Minimum two years’ supervision of frontline mental health support staff Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and engagement with diverse communities; commitment to equity, diversity and inclusion Additional information Start Date: ASAP Salary: $114,000 - $135,000 #J-18808-Ljbffr
